This problem occurs frequently for many people, and there are many variables which may
stimulate the problem. Please view the list below and go through each as a 'checklist' to diagnosis which is causing your PC to not detect your Nintendo DS.

1. Are you sure that the Action Replay DS is in 'Update' mode? When you turn on your Nintendo DS, select the "Update" button. You will get a screen like the one below. When you have completed this step, move onto the next task.

2. Make sure your USB Cord is properly connected on both the Action Replay DS and on your computer. When that is completed, make sure your Action Replay Code Manager is opened and 'Waiting for DS'.

3. If those steps don't work, you will have to check within your Device Manager.
Different operating systems have different procedures on accessing this menu. Please follow the one which corrosponds to your operating system:

Windows XP - When on the desktop, click "Start" on the bottom left and then
right-click on My Computer and select the 'Properties' button. When you are on the next
screen, select the 'Hardware' tab. On that screen, selec the "Device Manager" button.

Windows Vista - When on the desktop, click the "Start" button on the bottom
left. Right click on "Computer" and hit "Properties". On the left side of the screen,
select "Device Manager". You may be prompted with a permission message in order to
proceed.

First check if the Action Replay DS is listed under a section named "Other Devices". If
so, you need to install drivers. Simply try to follow the steps, as different operating
systems may show different messages:

Double-click the "NDS Link" name within the device manager to view the properties
screen. On the next screen, select the "Driver" tab and then push "Update Driver". On
the next screen select the radio, "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)",
then on the next screen select "Don't search", and on the next screen select "Show All
Devices" and click Next. On the next screen select the "Have disc" option. Insert the AR
Code Manager disc, and then select "Browse". Go to your CD Drive, and look for the file
named 'ndalink.inf'. Select "Open" and "Ok". On the next screen have NDS Link
highlighted and select "Next". When it is done click "Finish" and try it out!
